Pressure casting, also known as low pressure casting and pressure pouring, is another variation of permanent mould casting. Pressure casting is a process in which metal is casted under high pressure into solid metal moulds. The parts are mostly made of non-iron metals such as zinc, magnesium and aluminum. In industry, steel railroad car wheels are cast with this method.
