What is RTV silicone rubber?
RTV Silicone (room temperature vulcanizing silicone) is a type of silicone rubber made from a two-component system (base plus curative; A+B) available in a hardness range of very soft to medium - usually from 10 Shore A to 50 Shore A. RTV Silicones can be cured with either a platinum catalyst or a tin catalyst.
What does RTV-2 mean?
Two components when mixed together cure at room temperature (RTV= room temperature vulcanization).
Tin cure/condensation cure silicone rubber
Tin based silicones, also called condensation-cure silicones, are two-component materials which cure at room temperature (RTV) to flexible, high tear-strength rubbers. Tin cured silicones can be poured onto models or they can be made brushable by adding a thixotropic additive. They are ideal for molds where easy release or high temperature resistance is required. Tin cured silicones can be used for casting polyurethane, epoxy and polyester resins, waxes, all gypsum products and low-temperature

Professional Guidance
1, About choosing hardness
First, if size of your product is very large, you need to choose a little higher hardness, such as 40, 45, 50, 50. In the contract, if size is small, just need to choose soft silicone rubber.
Second, if details of your product are complicated, we need to choose soft hardness for you, as rubber can tightly fit every small corner of the master mold. In the contract, if details are easy, 30, 35 hardness is better.
2, About viscosity
Generally speaking, it depends on whether you have a vacuum chamber.
(1)If you do not have a vacuum chamber, we need to choose low viscosity for you, for
Bubbles can easily release, therefore will not influence the property, what's more, not
Destroy the design.
(2)If you have a vacuum chamber, viscosity is not a problem.
3, About Color
(1) We can produce the simple pure color, such as red, blue, green, yellow and so on.
(2)We can also produce your needing complicated color, such as silver, gold color, but need your palette.
