Application
The carburizing furnace is a new energy-saving cyclic furnace mainly used for gas carburizing of steel parts. The furnace employes advanced superlight refractory lining material and water-cooled sealed fan. The furnace has the advantages of unified temperature, fast temperature rising speed, and even carburizing layer. There is no gas leakage when the furnace temperature rises. In summary, the furnace has a high production efficiency and an excellent carburizing performance.
Structure
The carburizing furnace is comprised of furnace shell, refractory lining, furnace cover lifting mechanism, sealed fan, muffle tank, heating components and electrical control system.
The shell is fabricated from steel plates and sectional steel. The refractory lining is a compound structure consisting of 0.6g/cm3 high-strength superlight energy-saving refractory bricks, silicate aluminum fiber, diatomite heat preservation bricks, and asbestos boards. The furnace cover lifting mechanism is comprised of motor, gear pump, and other parts. Push the button on the control box, and the furnace cover is opened. The furnace cover moves up at a speed of 30-70mm/s. For the sake of safety, there are two limit switches on the up-down shaft. When the furnace cover moves up, the lower limi switch cuts off the main power supply loop of the control cabinet so as to stop heating components. The upper limit switch confines the lifting height of the furnace cover and protect it from coming off.
The sealed fan is mounted on the furnace cover, and is used for mixing the atmosphere inside the muffle tank and unifying the temperature. There are also three tubes on the furnace cover. One tube is connected with 3-hole stainless steel dripper for supply of methanol, coal oil or other liquids. Another tube is for supply of ammonia used for carburizing, nitriding or carbo-nitriding. The last tube is for sampling, and is connected with a "U" shape glass tube manometer to monitor the pressure inside the muffle tank. The heating components are electrical alloy wires made into a spiral shape, and mounted in the wall of the refractory lining. The hearth temperature is measured by the thermal couplings inserted into the hearth, and the temperature signal is sent to the control cabinet through the compensation lead. The control cabinet has an automatic temperature control system, and regulates and records the furnace temperature. The carburizing furnace can also be equipped with a cooling bucket (optional) which keeps the processed workpieces. The furnace cover has a pair of sand-sealing slot for better sealing effect.
