Continuous Casting and Rolling System for Copper Rod

1. Technical feature of CCR line:
The products are mainly Φ8mm bright round copper rod and the imported machine can produce Φ22mm bright copper rod. If customer has different requirement, other specification of bright copper rod can be produced. Due to the low oxygen content (not more than 0.0500%). So it is also called "low-oxygen rod"

Main technical process
Copper cathode----shaft furnace(being melted)----continuous casting machine(copper ingot)--- Ingot performing device(cut, edge milling)---Continuous rolling machine(copper rod) ----Pickling(bright round copper rod)----Coiling---Compression and Package.
To make use of copper scrap for reducing production cost, we develop copper scrap
As raw material. Its main process:
Scrap copper(or add a little copper cathode) -----Reflecting furnace (oxidoreduction)--- Continuous casting machine(copper ingot)---- Ingot performing device(cut, edge milling)---- Continuous rolling machine(copper rod)---- -Pickling(bright round copper rod)----Coiling---Compression and Package.
The following is advantages and disadvantages of copper scrap CCR Line.

Advantages:
(1)Large production capacity. Annual output: About 50000tons. If there is special requirement, annual output also can reach 80000-100000tons.
(2)To make use of copper scrap as raw material to produce high-quality bright round copper rod. General speaking, copper scrap can't be used for oxygen-free copper rod.
(3)As copper scrap is used as raw material, its production cost is low, compared with black copper rod, oxygen-free copper rod and bright round copper rod which use copper cathode as raw material.
(4)The bright round copper rod is soft, orderly, good drawing capacity.
(5)Low copper consumption as there are no ingot casting, reheat copper ingot and pickling process.
(6)Lower annealing temperature than oxygen-free copper rod.

2. Disadvantage:
(1)Large investment and long construction time.
(2)Complicated production technology which requires high operational skill. It is not easy to master the direct relation among rod quality, raw material component and melting technology of reflecting furnace.
