Stainless steel 446 is a high chromium ferritic stainless steel commomly used in high temperature applications from 1500ºF to 2200ºF.SS446 is the most oxidation resistant steel among the 400 series stainless.SS 446 resistance to cyclic oxidation is equal to better than SS309 and SS310,but has lower strength at elevated temperatures.
